We saw a gap in the market for a provider of enterprise grade systems with a focus on the user experience. Something we believe was not being offered elsewhere. We’d also experienced first-hand the limitations and hidden costs associated with off the shelf products so saw the need for bespoke solutions that would be more cost effective than the competition.

There are many design agencies that are capable of delivering a good creative product and many software houses that are capable of delivering a strong technology product. The problem is that the creative product compromises on technology and the technology product compromises on creativity and user experience. What five one two are able to offer is the fusion of these two disparate solutions, the perfect blend of creativity, user experience and technology.

Senior Profiles

Rob Lendon, BA (Hons)

Rob's background is in the creative operations of some of the largest and well renowned digital agencies in the world such as Sapient and Five by Five and has won many awards for his work. His focus ensures that we deliver solutions that are creative and highly usable. He has worked with such brands as Adidas, Bacardi, Sony, Electronic Arts, RBS, Times Online, the BBC and Sky.

Rob holds a BA (Hons) Multimedia Design degree from Solent University. Rob is also a certified Prince2 practitioner.

Chris Goodall, BSc (Hons), CEng, MIET, CSM

Chris' background is in delivering global enterprise level software solutions gained during his time with IBM, UBS Investment Bank, Citigroup and his own established software consultancy which he formed in 2003. His focus ensures that we deliver technically robust enterprise level solutions.

Chris co-authored an IBM e-commerce/transaction processing Redbook (ISBN: SG24-5277-00, December 1999) and is a regular contributor to Computing and ComputerWeekly publications.

Chris holds a BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree from the University of Southampton. He is a Chartered Engineer, Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a certified Agile ScrumMaster and a Prince2 practitioner.

Cat Goulbourne

Cat’s role as Business Development Manager is to seek out new opportunities and clients who will benefit from five one two’s unique proposition. She’s also responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, as well as researching current market trends, updating the blog and writing press releases for the company.

Gabi Cretu, Comp Sci

Gabi's background in technology, starting as a software developer and progressing through to team lead and management positions, have prepared him well for the role as Development Manager at five one two. Gabi is responsible for the technical activity and day-to-day planning, administration and management of over 60 development engineers.

Gabi holds an advanced Computer Science degree from University BABEŞ-BOLYAI, Cluj-Napoca.

Our people are our strength and our development centre offers over 60 software engineers and creative staff of multi-discipline.

Our technology agnostic approach means that we are not tied to any one language and are able to utilise the most appropriate technology for your requirements. Primarily for business critical enterprise systems we offer senior Java development and architecture skills, with staff qualified in programmer and developer Java certifications from Sun Microsystems. We also develop and support Microsoft .NET platforms along with web technologies such as PHP, ASP and Rails. We also specialise in application development on emerging technologies such as iPhone, Facebook, OpenSocial and other collaborative social and business networking platforms. Academic qualifications range from first degree, through to post-graduate PhD in mathematics and science disciplines.
