UBERWARE is a leading manufacturer of gaming PCs in the UK. They provide a range of systems tailored for the demanding needs of gamers.
Objectives
Provide a bespoke flexible Content Management System to allow product packages to be created and maintained.
Provide financial tools to determine price points and ensure all products are generating the correct margin.
To automate customer account and support content to allow the customer to track their order and generate support issues.
Maximise conversion rates throughout the site.
Solution
We tested initial wireframes on users and established an optimal process for the product information path through configuration and ultimately to purchase. This was iterated to ensure we had as few steps as possible whilst providing the user everything they needed to make an informed purchase.
Some of UBERWARE’s standard practices are actually USPs so we highlighted these throughout the site ensuring that whenever a user was somewhere relating to a product or purchase they could see these added value features.
The checkout process was kept as simple as possible and we were able to provide all purchase and delivery details in one manageable screen. The number of steps to purchase is much smaller than any of their competition.
We developed a look and feel that sat well between the need for a professional trustworthy company and an organisation dedicated to gaming. Not something any of their competition has achieved.
Results
The feedback from the community has been very positive, particularly in regard to the look and feel of the brand.
Conversion rates have been excellent and we are looking to develop further community features shortly.
Unfortunately the business is no longer trading but we’ve kept the case study here as we’re proud of our work.
