Solution
Close consultation with the existing service provider was critical.
Equally as important was the valuable input of amBX marketing and technical specialists as well as the Philips corporate DNS management centre.
Format migration plan was developed identifying the migration steps and milestones together with a testing schedule with KPIs.
amBX were given the use of a dedicated server together with a SLA with unlimited traffic restrictions, scalable hardware (including DR capability as required) and fast 100MBit internet backbone connection.
Our systems administrators prepared the Linux based platform with all applications, databases, configurations, logging and backup facilities as per the source system.
After the successful migration of al application code, configuration and database content, both systems were operated in a parallel environment to ensure a seamless switchover.
Following testing sign off and liaison with the Philips Corporate technical department, the cut-over from the existing provider to the new hosted environment was effortlessly achieved.
